Spinnaker Chandlery started off as the shop/stores of a boat yard in 1967. It soon grew and expanded and by 1985 became its own separate business, moved nextdoor into a new custom built premises and took on the name Spinnaker Chandlery for the first time. Having served thousands of customers over the years, we've continued to grow and expand our range of stock, requiring an extension in 2000 to double our floor space and more than double our stock room!
These days we not only supply boat hardware and supplies to the local tradesmen and sailors, but have a comprehensive supply of hardware and ironmongery, DIY and gardening supplies. Our customers range from professional builders to DIY-ers, visitors looking for swimwear, to locals wanting a decent waterproof coat for dog walking!
Not that we've neglegted the boat side of things. We've everything from cans of paint to dinghy fittings, from reels of rope to rowlocks our chandlery section can cater for almost any type of boat.
On the clothing side we stock clothing for not only sailing, but walking, camping, and many more activities! Whatever outdoor sport you're into, you're bound to find something suitable. Plus with brands such as Regatta, Craghoppers, Musto,Gill, Gul, Sea Ranch and Brakeburn we've all specifications and price points covered.
Our team of staff have first hand experience in using the majority of the products we stock. It is only on rare occasions that there is no-one here with expert sailing knowledge!
The shop overlooks the beautiful Bembridge Harbour, and serves many thousands of visiting mariners who flock here every year. This website is here to make us more accessible to you.
